2nd Annual A.E.R Was A Success
2010 has already proved to be another banner year for The Tesla Group, with the success of the 2nd Annual A.E.R “Walk With Style” fashion event to benefit CancerCare. The charity gala, held on April 1, 2010, was hosted by NFL star Kerry Rhodes and supermodel Hilary Rhoda and featured a fashion show by designer Laila Azhar.
320 Studios was filled to max capacity that evening with 250 guests, ten silent auction items, and three vendors, all of the proceeds directly benefiting CancerCare. An array of sponsors also generously contributed to the success of the event by giving both monetary and in-kind donations – the venue was beautifully decorated with antique Greek accents donated by “Cosign It On Main.”
Major highlights of the evening included supermodel Hilary Rhoda gracing the red carpet and NFL star Kerry Rhodes’ speech – he joked with the guests as if it was the first time speaking in front of a large group of people. Then came the fashion show, featuring 21 gorgeous spring dresses by designer Laila Azhar. Founder of The Tesla Group Ahlilah Longmire was also praised throughout the night for her heartfelt speech about her unwavering dedication to raising awareness about lung cancer.
The Tesla Group has a commitment to merging the fashion, entertainment, music, sports, and lifestyle industries in order to create maximum awareness. As a result, a diverse group of celebrities came to support the event, including:

The Tesla Group is currently in the process of calculating all proceeds from the event, and the silent auction will officially close one week post-event.
