Chef Toni's Cooking Academy & Holton Farms Host....
NYC Mom and Master Chef, Antoinette Willard-Young is wasting no time becoming the new go-to-chef for keeping New York‘s children healthy and happy. On September 11, 2010, Chef Toni's Cooking Academy which has been featured in The Examiner, Time Out NY, Macaroni Kids, Society Allure, and more will host its 1st annual Farm-To-Table awareness event with Holton Farms at the West Side Family Center from 1-4PM. “The Association To Benefit Children” will award cooking academy scholarships to five deserving children.
“The Association To Benefit Children” is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing joy and warmth to disadvantaged children and their families through compassionate, sustainable, comprehensive and integrated services, designed to permanently break the cycles of abuse, neglect, sickness and homelessness.
In addressing obesity in our children, Chef Toni believes that the cooking academy’s philosophy “teach children the origin and natural seasons of foods” will empower them to make healthier eating choices. With back to school just around the corner, Chef Toni's Cooking Academy aims to get a head start on educating NYC children and families how to cook, eat, and enjoy food in a healthy and nutritious way. The importance and significance of what a culinary academy of this magnitude means for our community and children is extraordinary.
