TTG WEDS WINE & DINE

TTG Says If At First You Don't Succeed, Try These!

New York City is a big, big place, and with that comes a lot of options as to where one can 'wine and dine'. That sure adds a lot of confusion and pressure on people (me being one of them), who are very indecisive when it comes to answering the question, 'where to eat'?

If you are looking for a great atmosphere, with a touch of class, sophistication and age appropriate we've got a few options that will help you ditch the over-played vibe, as well as the dreadfully long wait. Get a head start on Instagram snapping a few photos in these places where you become one in a million and are wait listed. You may just also get some added trendsetter points amongst friends!

From the fried chicken and waffles, which is named amongst others, as one of the best in New York City, to the home-baked desserts, Sweetchick’s modern American comfort food sure adds in a modern-day twist on some classic dishes, as well as cocktails. Plus, the vibe is very cozy and laid back, from location to location, and yes, very Instagram friendly also.

Manhattan Cricket Club:

The Manhattan Cricket Club is labeled as a private gentleman’s club, but woman, as well as the public, are all equally welcomed. This just goes to show that labels are so yesterday, or maybe 20th Century?

The décor plays with the 20th Century old-world charm, and offers a comfortable atmosphere where friends, family, and coworkers, can gather and enjoy themselves, while sipping on some of the finest cocktails in the Upper West Side.

You can find the Manhattan Cricket Club hidden behind the green leather ‘secret’ door, that isn’t so secret anymore, upstairs from the Australian restaurant Burke & Wills.

Just a little FYI, while non-members are totally accepted and welcomed (no hate), they are only accepted on a walk-in only basis for groups up to 6 people.

French dip meets the Upper West Side, and it seems like they really hit things off.

Jacob Hadjigeorgi has expanded his love for food and restaurants with his newest restaurant, Maison Pickle. Just about one block away from Jacob’s Pickles, which Hadjigeorgis opened up five years ago. Maison Pickle, will yes, as you guessed it serve pickles, but they seem to be firing up the gill for a lot of French Dip’s as well.

But don’t worry, if you aren’t in the mood for a dip, they have a selection of steaks, chops, patty melts, salads, and mac & cheese. Or, if you are feeling a little wild, half pig head confit for two.

Maison Pickle, it’s only about the pickle and dip. They also offer an extensive selection of alcohol as well. From vintage beers, champagne, and a selection of white, rose and red wine from around the world, as well as long list of cocktails and whiskey from America, Ireland, Scotland and Japan.

The menu is inspired by Hadjigeorgis love for American dining, and the love is felt in the atmosphere. Offering a comfortable and uplifting environment, that is paired with trendy décor, it is sure to have your sense tingling.
