Sofia Anna Kenin or known as"Sonya"

Sonya isn't just your typical 19 year old teenager. Unlike most, she found her passion early in life, at age 5.. yes you read that right, five years old, when she first picked up her father's tennis racket and started hitting tennis balls. Watching her amazing progress on the court, her parents could see her unique potential and remarkable abilities. Sonya started playing United States Tennis Association (USTA) tournaments, Girls' 10 Singles, when she was seven, and in less than a year and a half she achieved a number one ranking in the State of Florida in the G10 Division.
In September 2017, Sonya turned pro and broke into the Top 100. She is currently ranked 48 in the WTA. Her list of accomplishments to date include; the prestigious 'Little Mo' National Girls' 10 tournament, ranked #1 in the Girls' 10; #1 in the Girls' 12; ranking #1 in the USTA National Girls' 12, Girls' 14, Girls' 16 and Girls' 18, represented UheaSA in tennis at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, member of USA Tennis Fed Cup Team, played doubles and won the 2014 Junior Davis/Fed Cup Finals, and in 2014 Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships, a prestigious junior tennis tournament 'the Fifth Junior Grand Slam'.

Sonya won the International Spring Championship Tournament, Grade 1 G18 ITF Event, the USTA National Championships - Girls' 18 (Level 1) and received the accompanying main draw wildcard for the 2015 US OPEN Women's Championship. In 2018, Sonya reached her first WTA quarterfinal at the ASB Classic. At the Miami Open, she made it to the third round as a qualifier. She qualified to the main draw and then reached her first semifinals at WTA level and has competed twice in the U.S. Open, both times reaching the third round.

Make sure to follow Sonya on Instagram to see what she has in the works! I'll let you in on a secret, it involves a new website. 😉
