The Trend--On To The Next Step

After two months of hard work completing the pilot for "The Trend," the cast and crew added their final touch to The Trend's packaging with an amazing photo-shoot Sunday January 24, 2010 at Pier 59 Studios.

The concept and direction for the shoot was developed by the shows producer Ahlilah Longmire and former Teen Vogue stylist Jay Johnson. Longmire, who wanted the shoot to reflect the hosts on-screen chemistry posed as a new yet exciting challenge for Jay, as both hosts have their own unique style, and are very different in character. Jay's choice in color schemes and style was absolutely flawless and left Longmire in complete awe as she debated with Jay initially on some of the looks.

Both hosts were featured in two individual looks, and two group looks all hand picked by Jay. Photos will be featured on the official Trend website launching within the next week and for various promotional/publicity usage.

As we could go on and on about "The Trends" fabulous stylist, there is definitely no "I" in team and so we move on to talk about the super sweet, talented, and amazing makeup/hair artist Cassandra Renee! Now this is one of those stories were things sometimes just happen for a reason. Cassandra was late inquiring about becoming part of The Trend as we had already secured our mua about a month ago, (who just so happened to call out due to an emergency early Sunday morning). It was literally a week before the shoot when we came across her email and amazing work. We decided to bring her on board......and the rest is history. Her awesome work is beyond noticeable in the pictures.
