Wow, what a success! On July 28th, 2012 Michael Clayton and The Tesla Group enjoyed hosting our First Inaugural Baton Rouge Rush Football Mini-Camp to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The camp was held at Michael's old high school Christian Life Academy.
It was Michael’s personal vision to inform, educate, and provide a platform to speak about hard work, perseverance, and the importance of good sportsmanship both on and off the field. He truly wanted to provide the local Baton Rouge community with an educational, yet entertaining event for the whole family.
With over 115 kids in attendance, and countless number of parents and spectators in the stands, everyone had an amazing time. Coaches included top NFL wide receiver coach Richard Mann, retired Bucs player Roshaun Matthews, top NFL draft prospect Eric Ried from LSU, LSU Defensive Back Dexter Alexander and several others. Other highlights included the after party at the BR Radisson which included several of the mini-camp coaches, NBA player Brandon Bass, and shockingly enough Jamarcus Russell!!!
