Taste of Tennis 2016 - Bigger and Better than ever!
The 17th Annual Taste of Tennis, the World’s Premier Food and Tennis Experience took place over a number of days last week and was the greatest one to date! The series of events seen the biggest and best of the Tennis and Food world come together to party it up right before one of the biggest Tennis events of the year - the US Open. The kick-off event seen 2016 French Open Champion, Garbine Muguruza take part in the Taste of Tennis Masterclass at the Tuscany Hotel on East 39th. She joined St. Giles Hotel's Executive Chef Wisit Panpinyo to prepare her favorite pre-match meal in front of a select few guests. Over at the London Hotel, Gael Monfils and RnB star Mario had a few games of ping-pong in anticipation for the event.
On Friday, August 26th, Taste of Tennis held their first 'Pavilion' event which was hosted by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson at the Mylan WTT Finals! This interactive culinary experience featured the Celebrity Chef Tennis Challenge which kicked off the Mylan WTT Finals where 4 celebrity chefs stepped out of the kitchen and onto the court in an exciting tennis exhibition on center court!

Taste of Tennis rocked the W Hotel in New York City on Thursday night (8/25) for it's Main Event with the likes of Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki walking the Red Carpet, Rafael Nadal and Marcus Samuelsson cooking up a storm and Venus Williams and Gael Monfils taking over DJ Mad Linx's booth. This year saw the very first Taste of Tennis Social Media Station sponsored by Urban Wellness Clinic which gave Tennis stars, chefs and guests the opportunity to take photos of themselves and each other with tennis raquets and tennis balls, hashtagging Urban Wellness Clinic to win prizes like US Open tickets and massages with Urban Wellness Clinic chiropractor to the stars, Dr. Emily Kiberd. The Main Event was packed full of New York's finest culinary talents like Roxanne Spruance and Jonathan Waxman, with plenty of food for your tasting pleasure. This unforgettable experience was made possible by Olive Oils from Spain, the world’s leading olive oil producer and exporter.
